Day 01: Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar, you will be transferred to a Deluxe Houseboat. Get ready for a trip to the picturesque Mughal Gardens. Visit Nishat Bagh or the Abode of pleasure, which was built by Asif Khan in 1632 AD. Asif Khan is the brother-in-law of the Moghal Emperor Jehangir. Also visit the charming Shalimar Bagh or the Abode of love. Shalimar Bagh was built by Jehangir for

his wife Empress Noor Jehan. These gardens, situated on the bank of Dal Lake, have the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. In the late afternoon, enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake and visit the Floating and Vegetable gardens etc. Also experience the walnut woodcarving and papier machie making demonstration. Enjoy the dinner and sleep peacefully overnight in the Deluxe Houseboat.

 

Day 02: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (50 km oneway)

In the morning start for Gulmarg- the Meadow of Flowers, which is situated at an altitude of 2730 m above the sea level. It will take 2 hrs to reach Gulmarg, which is 60 km far from Srinagar. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. There is an opportunity to enjoy a short trek up to Khilangmarg. The trek can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Chair Lifts for the mountain ride are also available. By evening return back to Srinagar and stay in Srinagar hotel.

 

Day 03: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (100 km one way)

After breakfast leave for a Full Day excursion tour of Sonamarg (9000 fts a.s.l), “The Golden Meadow”. Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland. Surrounded by mountains rising up to 5300 meters high, the valley is divided by a spur of the “Thajwas  Range”. Baltal (The Base Camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage) is just 15 km north of Sonamarg. This little valley lies at the foot hill of Zojila. Return back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

 

Day 04: Srinagar- Pahalgam (100 km- 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to Pahalgam (7200 fts a.s.l), the”Village of Shepherds” en route visiting the world famous Saffron growing fields, Awantipura ruins (9th Century) and Martand Temple (Sun temple). Pahalgam is also famous as a location shoot destination for the Indian film Industry (Bollywood). On arrival in Pahalgam check-in at the hotel. Enjoy the natural beauty of River Lidder. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Pahalgam – Katra (180 kms- 7 hrs)

Early morning you will leave for Katra. After a 6-7 hour drive, you will arrive at Katra and straight away check into your hotel. After a little freshening up, you will start your tour walk towards the Vaishno Devi Ji temple.

 

Day 06: Katra

In the morning return to the hotel after a long trek to the temple. Today rest of the day is free for leisure and relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 07 Katra – Jammu

In the morning, you will be free for your personal activities. Thereafter, you will leave for Jammu Railway Station/Airport.
